Getting Fit After Baby: Week 1

I completed the first week of my fitness journey to getting fit again after having a baby yesterday. I feel physically tired, but I feel emotionally energized! It wasn’t easy to find the time to work out and eat healthy while taking care of my baby girl at home, and I could definitely see that I eat less healthy (or not healthy at all) during the weekend… I’d like to blame it on the fact that my husband is home all day on the weekend, but I have to own up to the fact that I ultimately make the decision of what I eat. I haven’t seen a physical improvement in my body yet, though I’m only a week in, but I feel like my core is getting stronger.

Overall, I enjoyed my PiYo workouts this week because they’re low intensity and easy on my core. My stomach muscles are so weak after having a c-section, so I appreciate all of the modified moves in the videos.

I’m looking forward to another week of workouts, eating healthy, and getting fit. Check back next week for another update, and visit my Instagram page to see if I’ve been eating healthy every day!
